Wendi Young

It's in the details you know. Details lift an average space into something special. Icing on the cake is the cliché I believe. Wendi Young creates homes with an understated elegance, classic but not contrived and always with the well considered detail. It looks effortless but of course it is not.  Her beautiful outdoor spaces have me dreaming of summer in the chill of a southern hemisphere winter.  Don't miss the shoe-a-holic's idea of heaven after the jump.

My favorite is the terrace with purple sofas, bedroom alcove on the second photo and of course the dressing room. No woman can resist such a wonderful room to store shoes and bags...

I love that long narrow swimming pool. Very elegant and good looking while being functional for swimming laps. Perfection!

This week is one of the busiest of the year for me at work, but I always make time to look at your blog. I'm so glad I did! As soon as I saw these images I felt completely relaxed - for the rest of the day I'm pretending my cubicle looks like the first picture of this post! *I must have a great imagination* lol

I really do love all of those outdoor spaces and that closet. I could be in shoe heaven in there. I do not have enough space for all of my shoes some are still in boxes. I need to either put them in clear boxes or take pictures of them and put on the outside of the boxes. If I don't see something then I forget that I have it.

What a way to change my mood! Upon viewing these pictures, I instantly became so relaxed and peaceful.
How I would love to have this lady decorate my rooms and outdoors like this. I love the fact that she does the outdoor decorating and her home so serene. No matter which room you decide to enter or use, you would be totally relaxed. I would rather come into this place for a vacation than go anywhere else!
Katie is a LUCKY neighbor!
