My sister recently sent me the link to a Hungarian magazine called Otthon. I was excited to find a slew of cool photos on their website. Here are some that really caught my eye. (The first one = SO ADORABLE!).
That first one really speaks to me...I can't even tell what exactly I like about it except that I'd love to have breakfast there, and tea, and cocktails...and oh that low lone seat by the lamp? Perfect to curl up with book and a bowl of soup on a rainy day like mine is today!
wow! I am Hungarian and in the past I was reading this magazine a lot. I wanted to write that I am 100% sure that these are not Hungarian homes, but I went to the magazine's homepage and it turned out that some of them are really Hungarian. A real surprise to me!
Your blog is my homepage, and when I've opened the Firefox it was an incredible surprise to me when I realised that you wrote the word 'Otthon' (in English it means home) in the title. I had to think about it for some seconds and read the post to understand and make it clear. :-] I'm glad that you represent these beautiful photos from a really good Hungarian magazine. Thank you very much (in their name, too)!
I'm another Desire to Inspire and Otthon Magazine reader from Hungary. :D The funny thing is that I've read your post an hour ago then started to flip through the Otthon and saw the same pics. I started to doubt that the home featured in the Hungarian magazine was really a Hungarian home or just stolen from the web. :) So I came back here and now I'm really happy that you've discovered Otthon Magazine and those homes are really Hungarian. :)
Thanks all you Hungarian readers for noting that some of these homes are actually from Hungary. I was wondering because 1 photo I found on their website I know is from elsewhere (I believe London).
Thank you for surprising us once again with another incredible source! I agree, the first image is just fabulous but I also love images 5 and 6: the details and the styling hit all the right spots for me.
some of these pics are from livingetc's gallery. especially the first and the others in square aspects. they're from features livingetc has done in the last six months are so

Beautiful use of color, especially the pink kitchen and the apple greens.
I agree with Peggy - a great use of colour; that pink wall with the gold mirror in the first picture is stunning.

Heh. I'm off to take a picture of the Playmobil people in the attic. :-) Brilliant. Who'd have thought?
I especially like the room with the dark chocolate walls - looks so cozy.

Gotta love European magazines... they are so eclectic and buildings are so much a part of the interiors... lovely!

Love the first - that pink is divine. And the aqua...and how 'bout that etched mirror? Good enough to eat! K xx
I like the confidence in this decorating. I say if one loves colour, one should use it! :)
I'm happy that our magazine could "reach" to desiretoinspire's pages! I'm not a reader of Otthon but I'm proud!

uhh. So weird to read in your web a Hungarian word "Otthon"... this is a beuatiful word in Hungarian, and it means in English: Home.
In the future I would like to visit your blog rather...
