It's all about the view
And it's all about the outside. A simple, minimalist interior in a house that throws open its walls and plays second fiddle to the great outdoors. What a pool. Those palm trees ... swoon. Gently sloping green green grass and the star of the show, rainforest hemming in on all sides. All this anchored by stone walls and gravel courtyards. I'd quibble that the house needs a few more personal touches, some spectacular art but then how can you argue with that view. And all of this is in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Byron Bay, Australia. Sometimes real estate stalking takes my breath away. Here while the link lasts.

A bit over-styled I'd agree - all of those bar stools facing the same way!! But move in all my bits and bobs, my books, a few cushions and rugs and yes of course artwork and I would feel like I'd died and gone to heaven. Why oh why isn't my BF rich?!!
Ah, my in-laws live in Byron Bay. My hope is to one day own a little book shop and design business on the side in this area of the world. It seems a long way from Canberra at the moment, but the dream lives on!! Probably not in something like this, but...hey, who knows! Thanks for sharing it.
Awe-inspiring! I like almost everything about this place (except the over-styled bar stools, as Carole commented). There's a very zen, wide-open-space feeling; and the design is so well executed.
How about a bowl of fruit on the counter?
or some flowers.
love the pool. perfect.
SPECTACULAR ! I'm day dreaming already !
Amazing exteriors
Wow!! If my biggest problem in life was having to personalize that kitchen a bit, I'd be a happy girl! This place, and the view, is incredible. Marija

surely the green tones turns building wonderful but it can be adopted a little bit nature

Awesome place. A bit austere but probably due to nobody living there currently. Sure would love to go to town decorating it.
As for the photos... Holy hell, way to overphotoshop the pics, yuck. I am sure the originals look better.

just another plaything of the ultra rich ,something that costs way to much and has no real value. snooze.
Is that a bamboo floor inside? Stunning!!!
Great photos, but they are too many megabytes and take too long to load even with cable internet. Please compress them a little with a photo editing program such as "The Gimp." It is free. gimp.org
Thanks for the tip DC but we are having problems with blog (which at this point no one can seem to fix) which is the cause of the slow loading photos.
