Wow you've found some incredible ones! It's great to have fun with something that's as ordinary as a coat rack, and turn it into a piece of art.

Wow some incredible coat racks... Love

I love the one by sassycrafter that re-uses old trophies!

Wow! Neat coat racks, indeed! I especially love the ones that used pipes - very creative and funky. The one with the plunger is hilarious - very interesting!;-)

I can't believe the Water Spout Coat Rack is pictured! I came across one like that years ago (boy, it was heavy), but my taps were white. Great memories. I just might have to rethink my current -- and admittedly uninspired -- coat racks.

It's the D2I klurge collection! I know these are supposed to be cool hot happening coat thingies, but I hear banjos, Jethro... Mostly I was with you on the pipes, and the trophies were very post-deconstructuralist, sure. But broken or rough bits of wood with giant nails will just snag my silk scarves, and don't even TRY to convince me that you wouldn't recoil from that plunger!

I like the industrial looking pipes. I really need a coat rack for our front entry - good to see the different takes on a humble hook. Thanks for the great images.

Thanks for including my trophy coat rack! I love the other ones you rounded up, too. So I'm curious, did this post inspire you to redesign your own coatrack?

P.S. My name is Kim as well!

So much fun ideas, great inspiration!!

Oh, now I AM inspired! I especially love the homage to plumbing and the wall/hall tree made from found scraps (are those rulers I spy?) Brilliant! I love funky/art/functional pieces that reflect their funky/artsy creators & owners ! They look great covered with coats or just naked on the wall (the coat rack that is!) Great collection!
