You'll find me on the couch ...

Lounging on Le Bambole by Mario Bellini for B&B Italia. This has to be my favourite room of the year. I love this apartment photographed by Frederik Vercruysse. (More of this fabulous home here.) I have a daydream where I stumble upon a vintage leather Le Bambole in a secondhand shop where the owner thinks it is just a beaten up oversized beanbag. Every bone in my body is aching today from planting out the garden in the rain and finishing painting my fireplace in the room that the painters ruined. It is my last day before I go back to work and so I'm taking the blog day off to daydream about a couch .... my daydream might just include some special accessories. Stick around. Kim has a drool worthy post coming up later.

P.S. So are you a vintage leather le Bambole or does the re-release in white cotton do it for you?

Be still my beating heart....someone went into my brain and took out the perfect room I didn't know I wanted.

Psst vintage...especially when it's strewn with handsome men

Yes, this was my favourite room this year too; largely due to the couch. I'll have the leather and whoever's on it too!

Oh, I agree; this has been the #1 room in my "interiors" file since I first saw it earlier this year. And I can't even imagine the naughty things I would do to own that couch.

I BOUGHT that love seat and those chairs in the 70s! (in white, in NEW YORK, how stupid was I?) I'm calling B & B to complain. Mine didn't come with a hunk o man!

ps I still have them, a little less than white, but they'll leave my hands when they're cold and dead (my hands, not the Bamboles) and not a minute before!
pps Every now and again I wish I bought the leather, but overall, I'm happy I got white, it's brightened up the dark NY apartments that I've had, and the dark suburban home I live in now.

I have that same fantasy every time I walk into a thrift store. This is my dream sofa, and it will never be in my house. Still love that apartment every time I see it!

Oh, yes. The leather...and I suddenly want a Rubik's Cube too.

Actually, I vote for the reclining guy. Put him on any sofa and I'll love it!

Definately Leather

Are you kidding me? That poor man will not last another 5 minutes trying to lay in that "baseball mitt" of a sofa.
He looks positively miserable.

FOR SALE: I have a three seater Le Bambole sofa in the released white cotton canvas. It's in perfect condition. It can use a light cleaning but if you're not a germaphobe it can be used as is.
Im willing to sell it but you have to arrange for shipping.
Thanks Mike
