Kathryn Tyler and Linea Studio

Hello Tuesday! And hello gorgeous house. Simply stunning interior design by Kathryn Tyler of Linea Studio. Good gracious me I'm smitten. Bespoke sits with design classic and feels comfortable with vintage. Throw in wide open spaces, concrete floors, white walls and a workspace/studio to die for I'll gladly move in. I'm trying to figure out how I can get that staircase storage into my own home. It's contemporary. It's distinctive and it's fab!

The stairs are amazing.

Jo, you might already be aware of this, but Kathryn designed this (her own) house with the help of a friend and then project managed the build herself, as well as designing the interior. (She was featured on UK show Grand Designs a couple of months ago - details here - and it was my favourite episode of the show ever. She was absolutely inspiring and obviously her home turned out beautifully!)

Anybody know: is that a cork floor in the bath?

Okay where on earth did she find and who makes those kitchen chairs at the dining table? Gorgeous!

The kitchen chairs are a1950 design by Carl Jacobs for Kandya. I reckon the bathroom floor is definitely cork. And the Ernest Race rocker in the bedroom is ace.

I also saw this on Grand Designs and have been obsessed since. While my own style is much less... cool, I love how rational and full of character the whole design is. The textures and patterns also work so well in the space. This must be such a joy to live in.

I never get sick of seeing photos of this house, that was one of my fav Grand Designs episodes.

OMG, I clearly need to watch Grand Designs! This house is absolutely fabulous in every sense!

Yes! My favorite Grand Design to DATE! FYI the stairs were not completed at the time of taping GD and/or these photos. She subsequently had to put in a hand rail on both the stairs and the deck area upstairs.
