A stunning kitchen by Errez Design
I absolutely freaking LOVE this kitchen transformation that Ruben of Errez Design sent us (which Jo eluded to in a post she did of some of his projects back in September). In Ruben's words: "I wanted to share with you some images of a kitchen renovation we just completed in a 1925 Coral Gables cottage. This project is a blast of color and pattern used in a fresh modern way. We used a patchwork of vintage hand made Cuban cement tiles in a variety of patterns and colors. There is also a wall of floor to ceiling chalk board cabinets. Our goal was to both accentuate the charm of the old house and to reflect the young owners' personality." There is nothing I don't love about this transformation. The chalkboard cabinets are a great contrast to the rest of the all-white kitchen, the lack of upper cabinets is brilliant, and the seating area is SO FUN, bright and cheerful. I am so happy Ruben sent along some before photos as well. AMAZING!

I'm a big fan of white cabinets. Love, love this kitchen. It's cute and feels homey.
positively fabulous. you want to be there.
Wow, that nook just makes me want to curl up in the corner with a book and a hot cup of coffee. Love it!
That is the most adorable little breakfast nook!
Is the wall treatment just tons of wallpaper samples? Love it.
I really love this kitchen and will use it as inspiration for our dream kitchen remodel, BUT... where did the laundry room go? As someone who desperately wants a laundry room, I need to know where they do their laundry now!!
Thanks for the kind comments. This is one of my favorite projects that I've had the honor to work on.
Sallie, The wall is made of vintage hand-made Cuban tiles. There is a local factory here in Miami called Cuban Tropical Tile. They allowed us to rummage through their factory that actually makes these tiles one at a time by hand and select our favorite colors and patterns that were left over from past projects.
Amy, The laundry room was relocated to the garage to allow for a new walk-in pantry and breakfast nook.
beautiful. we'll be doing a kitchen in the next little while and so i welcome all bits of inspiration.
LOVE the breakfast nook. Don't know if I'd be that creative on my own.
The kitchen is stunning. When can I move in? xoxo
Some things are just fabulous...and that kitchen is one of them...
have a good weekend.
I never use this acronym because it's ubiquitous and hackneyed. But it totally, completely applies to this post: OMG
Love.
LOVE that quilted wall! Thanks for posting!
The chicken-and-egg linen tea towel pillow is brilliant.
That tiled tiled banquette/nook area is FABULOUS. Even more so because you've completely embraced the idea of colour with the cushions and the green chair. It might have been overwhelming to have the whole kitchen tiled like that (although, maybe a similarly tiled backsplash would have been okay) so I think it was very clever to keep the kitchen itself quite neutral and have fun in the nook. The wooden table is also lovely and warm and ties in with the floorboards. Plus, there are so many different colours in the tiles that you can easily pick one out and use it as a theme when you decide you want to mix things up or make a change. Well done!
Honestly absolutely stunning. More from this designer PLEASE!
I love this kitchen and its combo of contemporary and traditional. I must say I long for marble counter tops! Have a great weekend!

Those cuban tiles are fantastic - so fresh and vibrant. Initially I thought it was a mixture of wallpapers.
