Reader requests - backsplash and home office

Reader request time! This one (actually 2) comes from Malou: "My husband and I are constantly inspired by your posts. We're hoping you can help us with ideas for:1. kitchen backsplashes for an all kitchen with white cabinets and dark gray floors   2. home office with tables in the middle". Simple enough. So here are some white kitchens, most with grey floors, that have some ideas for backsplashes. After the jump are some offices with tables/desks in the middle of the space.

Ooh, I love that blue/green tiled backsplash featured by Sunset magazine with the awesome botanicals above. Thanks for posting!

Bold, graphic patterns work... and red to pull together grey & white? Works for me. Plus, a few new pots & appliances in red, change out the knobs -- there ya go.

I'm in love with every single back splash. If these were all in the same house, I'd move in.

Thanks H - I totally goofed when I named the photos in this post so some overwrote others. It's fixed now.

The first kitchen backsplash is really striking - I love it. I also really love the botanicals in the last kitchen.

Hi Kim! These are great photos! I loved the first backsplash and the first home office. Coincidentally, we're having gray floors for the kitchen as well so the pictures you found were just perfect. I'm so glad I asked for help, and more, that you picked our request.

What a coincidence! I was at an open house for an apartment for sale here in Oslo (Norway) a couple of days ago and they had the exact same backsplash as picture 1. Even the cabinet door were very similar. I really liked that backsplash, it looked great IRL too.
The apartment I looked at:

Ooh, these are so pretty! My hubby and I have been trying to find the perfect backsplash and this is great inspiration. Does anyone know about Mosaic Tile and Stone? They seem to have lots of pretty tile but I wasn't sure if anyone has bought stuff from them before.

Thanks!
