I love this idea! I saw something similar in a shop in Ann Arbor recently. They had glued the edges of the hoops together in a grid pattern and hung it in a window frame as a kind of shade.
This is phenomenal! I *just* unloaded some 15 embroidery hoops from my mother in law so I could decorate with them -- I was thinking of just connecting the innerhoop to make a lightweight "sculpture," if you will, to hang on the wall -- but these are so lovely! Thanks for being *psychic*! (hee)
Thanks for this post! I've long been a fan of embroidery hoops for decoration and it's fun to see all the different ways people have used them! I've gotta save some of these to my inspiration files! : )
A very lovely friend gave us some hoops with gorgeous fabrics for a wedding present and this post just gave me the inspiration I needed to hang them. Thank you!
OH.MY.GOSH. Last week I saw a TON of hoops at a Salvation Army and KNEW I could do something with them. This is such an awesome post. I agree with eco-stylista, you ARE psychic!!
I love the ones on the dark wall. I've only seen them on light walls and I think it looks fantastic on the dark. It's a great way to save all your favourite fabrics.

oh! I have some of these in my guest bedroom over the bed. I think its a great way to get a graphic color punch on the wall.
lovely post!
These are really beautiful. What a great way of sprucing up a room and using left-over fabric. The instant injection of colour is fabulous.
