Mon, 31 Aug 2009About a year ago I blogged about Toronto-based architecture and interior design firm McGill Design Group. Their work is stunningly beautiful, and encompasses their signature style of "modern simplicity firmly grounded in the classics". I got word that they have a new Facebook page with plenty of photos of past works and works in progress. I picked out some of my favourites. The first several are some before and afters of the incredible transformation of a Victorian.

Wow (Victorian redo)! I know it's a cliche but..."it doesn't look like the same house"...at all. Thanks for the inspiration (as we are about to embark on the living room re-do...)
whyioughtta, Jack told me today that you won't let him tackle any of the work himself. LOL. I told him he should at least be able to have at the stones on the fireplace, since demo is the fun part.

The rug in the last picture is Mandala from Madelaine Weinrib in NYC. You can buy her rugs from Y and Co in Toronto.
Lovely looking spaces - one pet peeve: the TV over the fireplace in such a small room. Serious neck ache.

Does anyone know where the area rug in the Pic 4 and Pic 5 are from? Please help!!! I love the patterns and the size of the rug!!!
