More from McGill Design Group

About a year ago I blogged about Toronto-based architecture and interior design firm McGill Design Group. Their work is stunningly beautiful, and encompasses their signature style of "modern simplicity firmly grounded in the classics". I got word that they have a new Facebook page with plenty of photos of past works and works in progress. I picked out some of my favourites. The first several are some before and afters of the incredible transformation of a Victorian.

If that wasn't enough eye-candy, here are more photos from random works.

Ooooh, does anyone recognize the area rug in the last photo? I think I need that for my living room!

Absolutely STUNNING. I love the black and white living room at the beginning of the post. That molding! To die for.

Oh my word. The moldings! Rock. My. World.

Michelle: I've seen similar things at West Elm?

Oh lord, I am speechless from the change in the first home. I'm gonna check out more of their work right now. Thanks for the tip!

Love the transformation in the 1st photos! Incredibly light, airy design and beautiful colors (or lack thereof) - gorgeous.

Wow (Victorian redo)! I know it's a cliche but..."it doesn't look like the same house"...at all. Thanks for the inspiration (as we are about to embark on the living room re-do...)

whyioughtta, Jack told me today that you won't let him tackle any of the work himself. LOL. I told him he should at least be able to have at the stones on the fireplace, since demo is the fun part.

They're magic! Great find, thanks for sharing!

Madre Mia! Classy, edgy just the way I like it! Thank you for sharing Kim. I need to check out their website.

What a transformation. Love it. That grey ceiling is to die for.

Wow! How stunning! I must say this is pretty impressive. This is truly an unbelievable transformation!

The rug in the last picture is Mandala from Madelaine Weinrib in NYC. You can buy her rugs from Y and Co in Toronto.

Lovely looking spaces - one pet peeve: the TV over the fireplace in such a small room. Serious neck ache.

Anonymous - thank you.

Too bad I don't live in Toronto. OR NYC, hah, but maybe that's what the internet is for. ;)
