The most glorious pink
I recently went hog wild in a bookstore and bought a ton of decor books and shelter mags, including House Beautiful. While flipping through it last night, I nearly passed out. In the issue was a home designed by Jonathan Berger, and the entryway was painted in the most GLORIOUS pink I've ever seen. It's Benjamin Moore's Razzle Dazzle (and it looks much better in print), and I'm smitten.
I got it in my head last weekend that I just cannot take the ugliness of my 2 bathrooms anymore. I have decided to redo them on the cheap, while I save up money to gut them and redo them properly. So I'll be scouring my basement and the basements of loved ones looking for anything I can use to spruce them up. And I will DEFINITIVELY be painting the powder room in this pink (if it's available in Canada that is). I cannot wait!!!

Nice! Can't wait to see it!
OH! My bedroom was painted that color four years ago and I LOVED IT!
cute!!!!
xx
oh my---YES!!!!!!!!!!!! I even love the name :)
I just painted my little bathroom in a similar color....I love it!
If you get a chance, check out my kitchen I did in a Benjamin Moore pink color...I have LOVED it so much! (And Hubby didn't throw a fit.)
Oh wow, that pink is fantastic! It would be so lovely in a powder room. You'll definitely have to post a picture of yours finished if you go through with the pink paint. :D (Which you should!)
Fabulous! LOVE the pink! What kind of things are you looking for? Can't wait to see your ideas and know it will be stellar!
Absolutely perfect pink! What an entry! Tracey xx
That's exactly what I did! In my otherwise all white wall ed house, I had our tiny powder room painted in the hottest pink and I love it! I've been trying to get a good photo of it but there's no natural light in there so I've failed miserably. I'll try again soon and I can't wait to see yours!
Ouch! Of course that colour of pink will be available in Canada! It's a colour any paint specialist can match (I know as I do that for a living!). Canada isn't that far-gone! Duh!
Bonnie - I really have no idea what I'm doing besides the paint colour (and Jo gave me an idea for the full bathroom). All I know is the bathroom redos have to have a VERY minimal cost. I do have a fancy schmancy huge mirror in my basement (from my last house) that I'm anxious to use.
FTRB, my problem too will be taking decent photos of the powder room as it's windowless.
Julie, I had gone in to a local BM store a while back with a Domino mag looking for the most perfect shade of teal and the colour listed in the mag didn't exist here. If it comes down to it I will pray someone can use the photo and mix me the colour.
Smuggling to someone in Montreal is always an option. Email me. Also, Benjamin Moore in Burlington Vt. might ship a can or two. I've gotten Farrow and Ball from Montreal myself.
that setting is one of THE most beautiful and original I have seen in a long time. the chair is unreal!!!
can't wait to see! i've been drawn to that pink lately too!
I would love to have a pink wall at home! These idea is amazing! Thank you for the idea!
I want the same wall!!
I saw a post about pink so of course I had to look. I LOVE IT! Every girl should have a pink bathroom. ;) I do. lol
I can confirm that they can mix whatever color you need, as long as you know the name and/or number. Of course this is last week's news, as I have just received a restraining order that states I cannot go anywhere near the Cyrville Rd. BM store anymore.
Anon - restraining order? LOL! I go to the one at Carling & Kirkwood. Closest to my place, and the owner has 2 adorable old chocolate labs I play with while they mix my paint.
Ohh thanks for the tip, love labs! Yes I think the restraining order is enforced by the time you pick the 37th shade of cream for your living room.
LOL!!! You couldn't decide on a shade of CREAM??!! See, that's where you went wrong from the start. Cream is BOOOOOOORING. :) (This coming from someone about to paint her bathroom fluorescent pink).
Guilty, I agree. However I had to live for two years with the home-mixed, soul crushing light maroon color we moved into, and am dying to get something light on those walls. It's an open split level too, which means living/dining/kitchen/foyer/hallway are open to each other, and I'd better LOVE that whole lotta color when it goes up the walls. Maybe I should send you pictures and make it a question for your readers!
If you're willing to change your mind for the 38th time, then by all means send photos and I'll post them!
Great!! I will.
