We have a large catalog sitting in our garage that I got my hands on through my school district when we updated the library. Thanks to you, I now have my summer project!
hi girls! you are a daily inspiration source for me! Thank you for keeping everyone updated and sending all these lovely pictures and features. Best summery wishes from Stockholm!
My husband brought one of these babies home years ago and i immediately stole it for all my jewelry, sunglasses, cosmetics and other girly things. What a great photo collection!
I love the idea of these, but everytime I mention it to my signicant other he scoffs and says, "What would you use that for?" I'm always at a loss for words since I haven't thought that far ahead. I don't think that I have enough jewellery to fill up a large on if I ever found it!
So I'm wondering, what would you put in one of these lovely card catalogues?
Nice catalogue-hunting! I'd never thought of these before but now I want one1 I volunteer at a community radio station and they have one of these (probably an ex-science-lab card catalogue) instead of pigeonholes. Great idea. Thanks for the gorgeous post! Lee Tran
Card catalogs are expensive to gert rid of and people get pissed off. If they removed them, the space would NOT be filled with books but would be filled with computers. I like haivng them around. Also, especially in old catalogs, there is information in the cards that never makes it into the digital catalogs. People don't care much about such marginalia, but there is some value to it.
Have ALWAYS wanted a card catalogue, and always so insanely jealous of those who have one! I'm also v jealous of the blue card catalogue and the expansive collection of pantone markers behind it! Great blog, very inspiration. thanks!
I got one years ago, from an antique shop in Toledo, Ohio. I use it to store cassette tapes -- remember those? It's just the right size. Unfortunately, tape cassettes also are outmoded these days.

Love these! I would definitely snag them up if you have the opportunity even if it's just for the hardware! Wine and alcohol storage, now that's nice!
Nice finds! Now I have something new to obsess about.
