WINKS

WINKS - weekend links. Here we list what has come in during the week, things we've found and things we think you'll want to see. If you'd like to see your blog or website featured email us and if we think it fits with our readers we'll link you. So what's in this week?

  • Flotsam and Jetsam table coffee table by Melbourne based architecture firm Marcus O’Reilly Architect. Truly beautiful. Truly unique. Made from driftwood washed up on the local beaches around St Kilda. Love the markings, stamps, holes and hardware in the wood and it's pared back, rubbed down and waxed finish. Made to order. Details here

  • Need to find a Christmas present for your family's midcentury maniac. Blue Art Studio has two new posters featuring George Nelson and Ray and Charles Eames. Love their other digital art too. And here's a free 2010 calendar from the Blue Ant crew to download!

  • Don't think we've featured a sink plug before but hey why not when the plug looks as cool as this one. Water Stopping Water.

  • Please Santa I've been a good girl. Maybe one of these in my Christmas stocking. Danese Milano Perpetual Calendar designed by Enzo Mari. Slide the strips of wood  (walnut ramin beech and maple) to show the date in English and Italian.

  • Fun, quirky and just the right jolt of colour and pattern. Made from printed plywood offcuts the Artplay seat by Spacecraft is definitely on my wish list. Actually everything at Spacecraft is on my wish list.

I really hope that girl who presented the last design challenge (long, cluttered room w/great windows) lets us know how her re-do works out! Do you guys nudge, or just wait and hope with the rest of us?
