Magnus Selander
I think Magnus Selander's decision to change careers from music to photography was a brilliant choice. His photos are stunning and have so much to say with lots of emotion. The spaces aren't too shabby either with wonderful styling.

Hi, I think you would love a Swedish blog, here is a link to my article: http://roomservice.blogg.se/2009/december/dos-family-bjuder-pa-farg-och-karlek.html
So often I find spaces posted on this and other blogs to be beatutiful - but I can rarely imagine living there. These spaces are different and I'm not sure why. I think it might be that they are both serene and fun - the very mix that I am trying to bring to my own spot. I think that we all want our spaces to evoke a certian emotional response (and too often I think the emotion we are trying to evoke is envy - but that is another posting perhaps). These spaces feel like a place I could sit down after a long day of work and I would not feel to guilty about wearing sweatpants and eating cookies. Well, I would feel guilty about the cookies, but not because the space is too posh......
LOL - as I sit here at home in sweatpants eating a cookie.... (totally serious. american eagle sweatpants....pumpkin chocolate chip cookie)
Lovely, would gladly put my feet up on the white sofa!
Beautiful! I love the last photo. Is that a dock house? Whatever it is, its gorgeous.
I love his work. I saw that second photo in November Living etc and thought it was fabulous.
First: Gorgeous shots! What is that green upright in #3?
Second: I want kim's recipe for pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!
The green thing looks like a wood stove. As for the cookies, I found the recipe here
Thanks for the recipe. I am totally making these cookies. I am always looking for something different and these sound beyond yummy! Maybe I`ll get extra lucky and my kids won`t like them......
all these rooms are inspirational - thanks for the post ; )
What great shots! I love the collections of frames and letters. Thanks for sharing!
I love beautiful environments, they make me happy. Thanks for the inspiration.
Hey I Think these are really good!!!!! :D I want a boat like the one in the last pic!! Whoever did these is really talented!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Middle class life is very photogenic.
A nice collection of photos - I especially enjoy the greenish fireplace. All in all, this picture set feels -very- swedish. I definately wouldn't call it middle class though...
About the last picture, it depicts a sauna built on a raft, or "bastuflotte" in swedish. An awesome invention that is not at all uncommon here in Sweden.
I like this kind of decorating. Nothing extravagant. Looks homey.
His pics are stunning...as are the rooms. I just want to jump into every pic and live in each space!
Very nice collection of furnitures and home ambiance, very warm and comfortable!
