Reader's Home

Love it when readers want to share their homes on Desire to Inspire. Pamie from Singapore sent in a link to her apartment which she has just finished renovating. Wow Pamie it's a great space. Love the tiles on the floor (and I'm not just saying that because I hate carpet). Love the clean minimalist lines. Love the red splashback in the kitchen. Did everyone notice the oriental decal on the Eames rocker? How cool is that! I want your screen as well. Thanks for letting us into your home.

I love the apartment. I am really loving the Eames chair, which I am feel like I am seeing more and more of. Maybe I am just noticing them now.

I just can't get them out of my mind. I do remember however when they were mass produced as office furniture (all though I am sure they were imitations and not the real thing). My DH's uncle has a whole bunch he bought from some office equipment liquidation sale, but are rusty and dirty. I may just take a couple and attempt to revamp them. Thanks for the tips on reviving chrome.

I like the textured floor in the kitchen and the marble floor in the living room, and also the wall phone. And a whole bunch of other stuff.

Overall, a very cool pad.

Hi, thanks everyone for your kind comments!!

I just have to point out though, the kitchen floor is not really textured. It's just a plain cement floor. My hubby was a little over-zealous washing the kitchen floor, and those are just water stains before they dry up! hehe
