Muriel Brandolini

Muriel Brandolini is a highly sought-after interior designer from New York whose style is so funky and creative that I want to dissect every inch of the photos in her portfolio. It's all about vintage mid-century glam with layer upon layer of incredible patterns, textures and colours. Eclectic to the max, I think her style is as close to Jo's wacky taste as I've ever seen. So Jo, this one's for you.

Wow - incredible rooms. Lots of great inspiration. Especially love that serene, pale gray/blue staircase.

Wow. What I wouldn't give... I love that divider screen in the last picture. It's a very elegant accent piece and works well to not separate the spaces too much. I bought this great room divider recently for my loft and I absolutely love it. Fortunately I have very high ceilings so it doesn't overwhelm the room and the mirrors add a perfect modern touch. Thanks for the lovely post!

There is nothing like beautiful, inspiring clutter! I need to have inspiration all around me, it's the only way to live.

You know me so well! I love Muriel Brandolini's work. I could happily live in any, no all of these fabulous rooms. Wacky taste?

Wacky in a good way.

I'm a big fan of the light fitting in the first room. Unfortunately I have low 1980s ceilings, so if it was in my house I'd keep accidentally kicking it.

I have regular ceiling heights and REALLY low doorways in my home too Blandwagon, because apparently about 90 years ago, people were 4 ft tall.
