Do you have any weekend projects on the go? I planned to spray this thrift shop frame a bright sunny yellow and ditch the shell "painting" inside. I changed my mind after a coat of white paint. If the easter eggs are making you hyper then a little weekend project might be just what the doctor (or more importantly the nutritionist) ordered.

You are a genius! I freaking love it! And that yellow is so fabulous I am totally painting one of my living room chairs that colour (or as close to it as I can find).
I really like how the final piece turned out. A nice touch of simplicity that works so well. Cool!
Shut up. Jo--- this is fantastic!!! :)
I already commented on flickr, but Jo this is just gorgeous. I have weekend projects going on as well. Have to. We had so much darn snow again!
That's a fab colour! and totally inspired to paint the shells white!
I'm working on 2 painting projects today! One is this thing I picked up in the target clearance section and the other is a deep wooden drawer from an old desk I had. My mom bought it for me from a garage sale when I was about 6 or 7. I kept one of the drawers when I got rid of it, now I'm wishing I kept more because the one I have makes a really cool magazine holder! Darn.
Anyway, your frame turned out REALLY great! I'm loving yellow lately (again...) I just bought a frame from the thrift store because of the texture and cool pattern, I can't wait to liven it up a bit!
I think Jo is infecting everyone with paintingitis. I just got back from home depot and bought yellow paint for my chair. Tomorrow I'm doing it up!
That is RAD.
Thanks guys! Considering I bought the frame and horrid shell "painting" for $2.95 and the cheapest can of spray paint I could find, I'm rathered pleased with this project. Especially seeing that is a quick and cheerful one. I need to find more ways to include this yellow in my living room. So fresh!
This = inspiration! Thanks jo!
love it! the coat of white paint makes it so mod!
Fantastic job Jo.
I love it, you are so creative!

I can't believe it's the same piece. Very clever.
