Slumper

Before the Fatboy there was the Slumper. Set up the sewing machine and whip up one next weekend. Click on the images to see full size. Scanned from Bright Ideas For The Home, by Per Dalsgaard and Elizabeth Erichsen. McMillan, London, 1978.

P.S. There are dozens of fabulously over the top soft furnishing ideas in this book. There's even a silver lame cat shaped tea cosy! Should I post that one Kim?

The "slumper" looks more comfortable than a fatboy. Great names btw. And sure Jo, post the cat tea cosy - I need a new one anyway...or you could just make me one since I can't sew!

Ha! Amy from DesignDNA and I were talking emailing this weekend and I was lamenting that my workroom/studio isn't comfortable and to me the only thing that would help is a - gasp - beanbag. I was wondering how difficult a faux zebra one would be to whip up. Che coincidence.

This does look very comfortable for lounging! I wish I knew how to sew...

I second the request for the cat tea cozy! Would love to see the other patterns as well.
