I'm in Ottawa and haven't been to Toronto in ages but I always loved walking down Bloor St. and Yonge St. (was there for a few courses and the course and hotel I stayed at were where those streets intersect). Great shops around there. I always wanted to check out the store stylegarage which is apparently in the art/design district. Check their site for map.
