d+k renewal

I discovered d+k renewal on Instagram a while ago and honestly, I avoided following Dawnelle and Kirsten for the longest time because they sell the most beautiful home accessories with a bohemian vibe and I didn't want to be tempted buy all the things. Kantha quilts, kilim pillows, mudcloth, serape blankets, Moroccan/Turkish rugs, macrame, seagrass baskets and more. I want absolutely everything in their shop right now, but these are my favourites....

Le Lou Ula

Kelowna, B.C. based Le Lou Ula Atelier is a multi-faceted brand of surroundings comprised of demi-fine handcrafted adornments, accoutrements and vessels for rituals, and abstract visual art, and the moniker of independent, multi-disciplinary artist Bramble Lee Pryde, formerly known as WOLF + SADIE. Bramble's talent and creativity never ceases to amaze me, and I have been a fan of her work for a few years now. I want absolutely everything she is currently offering...ALL of the adornments and ALL of the accoutrements...and because I could not decide what to get most of it sold out before I could snap something up! I'll wait until she launches her copper bowls - excited to see those!

Sharon Brunsher

The void starts filling up,
the vacuum gets into a shape.
One spot over another,
layer over layer.
like sensual matter
in the hands of the potter,
In harmonic dissonance
between noise and silence,
chaos and order,
Particles of mine take up space,
grow into a shape
and become a product. / S.B

I recently discovered Tel Aviv, Israel based designer Sharon Brunsher on Instagram and I absolutely adore this creative woman's aesthetic. Natural, black and white, organic, raw......all the good things. I featured some of my favourite items from her clothing line on The Mourning Cloak, and here are some of the home goods she carries (and some linen bedding coming soon).

A special dinner at Clover Food and Drink

Last Saturday husband and I attended a very special dinner at Clover Food and Drink. To celebrate international women's day the women of Clover, Bicycle Craft Brewery, Bread By Us and Holland's Cake and Shake held a 5 course meal with beer pairings and it was phenomenal! Awesome food, great service and some really amazing beer made it the best date night. Of course I took photos of everything...
