The potter's place
Cassiano Anjo was a journalist until the turn of a potter's wheel changed his life. "What can I say about myself as a potter? I have so much fun doing it, and started intuitively a few years ago, after attending a ceramic workshop with a ceramicist that does beautiful work with paperclay. I guess I cannot tell how exactly my work is going to evolve, it's kind of early, but I would visualize clean, organic forms, mostly in porcelain." Beauty in the pots, beauty in the studio. What a wonderful space to create. Earthy, peaceful, rich yet simple, layers of texture but always the smooth beauty of the clay. Cassiano's studio is in Uberaba, Brazil.
LOVE
I love this studio. It belongs to fashion blogger Jane Aldridge and her mom Judy. GORG!!! (See more of it here)
A fun family home and studio
I saw this house tour on Dos Family recently and fell in love. It is in fact 2 tours - the studio and the home of artist and fashion illustrator Lisa Grue. The workspace is so open and bright and would be an amazing place to bring out one's creativity. Lisa's home is equally bright and colourful and would be the perfect place to raise a family. The studio is up first, and her home is after the jump. (Photos by Jenny Brandt).
Work?
Work? Really? In a fab office space like this? With a candy bar and table tennis, moss gardens and concrete gold fish bowls? Really? Work? I'm in the wrong job. How cool is this office space designed by artist and interior designer Teresa Leung created for Toronto based IT start up company Archon Systems? Now if I knew anything about IT I'd be polishing up my résumé looking for a job.
