An office in Portugal

Portuguese architect João Rosado Baptista, emailed us a recent project. This office/studio renovation saw Baptista and interior designer Ana Maças Nogueiro, create a dynamic and streamlined space from a rundown two storey building and neglected courtyard. Light, bright, modern yet firmly anchored in its historical past. A warren of rooms was opened up to provide versatile spaces enabling the office to be used in multiple ways. The completely rebuilt courtyard extends the interiors and provides a private retreat. No website as yet but Baptista can be reached here.

Rachel's workspace

Rachel Duister, founder of the shop Fashionology where she sells awesome jewelry she designed, was recently interviewed for I Love Fashion News in The Netherlands regarding her new workspace. She kindly refered to desire to inspire as her main source for inspiration. :) She did a wonderful job - what a fantastic space to get to work in every day! Thanks Rachel!

I want to work here!!!

Can you imagine going to work every day and in between tasks being able to get a tattoo, get in some target practice at a shooting range, hang out in a tree house, slide down a fireman's pole, have a milkshake snack at a canteen...all without leaving the office?!?! Yes, that is the insane workplace of Missing Link, corporate presentation designers based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Makes my drab, mismatched office with busted, dirty chairs (and everyone thinks the federal government wastes money - not on furniture they don't!) look even worse. We can't even get coffee without having to trudge across the street in snow... (more details via VISI)

Is this work?

A fun and colourful office design by Argentinian architect Agustina Bottinelli of AB I Arquitectos Asociados. Slashes of red, piano key stairs, old school video games, funky pop furniture, chickens and a toilet that will definitely be well read. (Don't ask me how it was done. Perhaps Agustina can let us know.) Definitely for a creative industry. I wonder if they actually get any work done?
