Still stalking warehouses

OK this is technically a hall not a warehouse but are you really going to quibble with me? OMG. Take a look at this beauty. Seen it before haven't you? It's that Chuck Close print at the end of the hallway that's ringing bells. The Design Files about 2 and a half years ago. The amazeballs home of Georgie and Alex Cleary of Alpha60. Can a girl have two warehouses in Melbourne? Her grownup warehouse in Hawthorn East and her hipster hangout in Northcote? Wouldn't that be a dream! Link here while it lasts.

Stalking a warehouse

I always get excited when I stumble upon a warehouse conversion when I'm out real estate stalking. I get even more excited when the end result lives up to my hyped up expectations. Someone please lend me the money to buy this home in Melbourne's Hawthorne East. It's a grownup warehouse. Seriously stylish. I'd love to see it in real life because I'm sure the photos don't do it justice. Link here  while it lasts.

Warehouse stalking

I'm stalking an apartment in Fitzroy's iconic MacRobertson building. Can Melbourne living get any more hip? The listing photographs, though good, do not reveal the true beauty of this space ... the light. For that make sure you watch the video. Link here while it lasts.

Inside Out and my dream warehouse

Every month an email arrives from Inside Out magazine's Managing Editor Lee Tran Lam and every month I get excited. The sneak peeks from inside the latest issue of the magazine are always amazing. Today she sent my dream home. I have wanted this particular space ever since I first spotted it in a previous incarnation as Lynda Gardener's home. Now it belongs to someone else (boo hoo not me) and I think I love it even more.

This is the home of artist Saskia Folk – whose "pick and mix style" is encapsulated by all the highly original items tucked into her place. There's a couch decked in "country check", a giant ice-cream light guarding the bottom of her stairs, a kitchen island bench made from old basketball flooring and kitchen cabinetry constructed from old meter boxes found in the Australian outback. Styling by Heather Nette King, photography by Derek Swalwell, from March issue of Inside Out.

Saskia you'll have to move out because I'm moving on in! Can't wait to see more in this month's issue out tomorrow. Don't fret if you aren't in Australia though. You can read along on  ZinioGoogle Play,  the Apple Newsstand and Nook.
