A warehouse loft conversion featuring clouds

I wanted to share this awesome warehouse conversion in London that has a bit of a twist. Someone clearly had a lot of time on their hands....and a lot of foam. The foam clouds likely help with the acoustics in the space, so it works double duty. I think it's a pretty cool art installment, and I would totally live with it no problem if I could have this loft. That much space, with up to 30' ceiling heights, and my cats would have a blast tearing around and trying to climb the foam. Available as a location property through Shoot Factory

Stalking a warehouse apartment

I'm in my beloved Fitzroy in inner-city Melbourne and I'm stalking warehouse apartments. High ceilings, beams, large steel framed windows. What's not to love? I'm already fantasising about my midlife crisis and the need to escape to hipster heaven. Speaking of middle age hipsters don't miss the video. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking the other half of a concrete block warehouse

As promised yesterday I'm stalking the other half of a warehouse in Melbourne's Collingwood. What a difference! Yesterday's conversion was modern industrial. Today's is a mix of traditional, eclectic, a touch of industrial meets country kitchen and a whole lot of designer loft. Not surprisingly it is the studio of interior designer Diane Bergeron. Part design studio, part client showroom, part inner city pad. And it has that ceiling high bookcase that is featured on thousand upon thousands of Pinterest boards. It sold last month for $1.8 million. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking concrete blocks

I'm in Collingwood an inner-city suburb of Melbourne and I'm stalking one half of an old concrete block warehouse. Inside it's soaring ceilings and white walls, black steel windows and open spaces. From the mix of mid century and contemporary furniture to the striking artwork it's the quintessential industrial meets modern living conversion. It appears that's it is being used as a commercial premises and I'm stratching my head as to where I'd put the bed . You must view the listing video and leave your critique of the acting in the comments. Link here while it lasts.

P.S. Stayed tuned for tomorrow's post on the other half of this building. A completely different take on the space.

Stalking old school

I'm in the Sydney suburb of Annandale stalking an old school warehouse conversion. Not one of those new-build, pseudo industrial blocks with cookie cutter "loft" apartments. No I'm stalking an artist's studio and home with suspended concrete, open ceilings and clear span space. There are mezzanine floors, plywood walls, a glass tilt door and walls crammed with amazing art. It's a bit gritty, a bit grubby and it's fabulous. Please Mr Bank Manager can you lend me the outrageous asking price of $3.5 million? Link here while it lasts.

(P.S. Thanks to my stalking buddy Anne for the link.)
