It appears I just can't be stopped when it comes to the designs of GCG Architectes. This is another Paris apartment that has me all hot and bothered. Wonderfully unique use of colour and wallpaper that seems to be their trademark. And those chevron hardwood floors!! Photos: Robin Petillault
Since I will be in the air on the way to Germany when this post published I wanted to feature a home from this gorgeous country. This 290 m² apartment in Stuttgart is that of architect Peter Ippolito of Ippolito Fleitz Group and textile designer Stefan Gabel of Zimmer + Rohde. This space could really not be more unique - with fun pieces of art throughout. Such incredible creativity and thought went into the design. I adore this.
Jo has featured the work of Paris design firm GCG Architectes a few times here on the blog (like here, here and here) and I am totally smitten with this talented crew. Style out the wazoo, an unwavering need to add random colours, patterns and architectural details throughout their projects...their unique approach is unlike anything I have ever seen. Yep, safe to say I am their biggest fan. And this home in the Boulogne Billancourt suburb of Paris decked out in mostly pastels is fabulously random, as I would expect from GCG. The team of Georgia-based Rethink Design Studio has a lot of fun with this country home by adding bold graphic wallpaper in several rooms and lots of fun colours and patterns in accessories and the occasional piece of statement furniture. The result is a whimsical and functional family home.
Do your kids hate taking a bath or brushing their teeth? Bet they'd be alot more excited about both of those tasks if they were able to do it in this cool bathroom! The "Mr. Blow" wallpaper by Abnormals Anonymous is so fun!!! By Brio Interior Design (photos: Haris Kenjar).
