A blend of modern and classic by Kate Marker 

Last month I featured a home designed by Illinois-based Kate Marker and I had to share some more of her work because it's so fresh, bright and timeless and is the perfect blend of modern and classic styles that appeals to just about anyone's taste. I am not a big fan of all white kitchens but she won me over with this one. WOW!

A pretty seaside home

Tara Mangini and Percy Bright of Jersey Ice Cream Co. sure do know how to add rustic, feel-good character to a home. This summer and weekend getaway in Long Island was about 10 years old and the only interesting element it had was wood beamed ceilings. This creative duo added a sense of history that would make you think this house had been in the family for decades. With pale pastels, a stunning kitchen and a bit of gorgeous Farrow & Ball wallpaper, this home now has all the character the homeowners could ask for.

With an island beachy bohemian chic feel with a super casual vibe, this is exactly where you want to spend your summer while keepin' it real. (And featuring the most beautifully huge fiddle leaf fig plants I have ever seen flanking the front door).
