Myrica Bergqvist update

We have been fans of Stockholm-based interior stylist, decorator and  product designer Myrica Bergqvist for quite some time (see previous posts here, here and here). I was overjoyed to find lots of new work on her website and Tumblr and had a hard time narrowing down my favourites. So I didn't. There is another post coming up. But first, I have to say how much I love the space above. I go a bit cuckoo for really large photography as artwork, and those chairs are so fun. Add a massive Tom Dixon Beat Stout pendant and I am SOLD.

A converted storefront in Stockholm

Mattias Wikman emailed us with some beautiful photos of his townhouse-style apartment in Stockholm. The space is an old storefront that was converted into an apartment with a own private entrance and some outdoor space. It is located in the middle of Stockholm in an area called Birkastan. I love that all the walls/ceilings/ductwork etc. are painted white. It makes everything so bright and forms a blank canvas for the furnishings. And it definitively feels like a loft so I really dig that. And Mattias has my favourite quote hanging in the photo below - bonus points!

Feeling blue

OMG I'm feeling blue! Not sad. Definitely not sad. The colour blue. I'm in love with this beautiful Scandi kitchen photographed by Jonas Ingerstedt for Residence Kitchens.

Emma Hos

Still can't get enough of the Swedish look. You know, the black, white, mixed with wood, softened by the green of indoor plants and brought to life with everyday personal pieces look. It's simple. It's stylish. A touch of boho, a midcentury Scandi classic, an artful tumble of clothes or shoes or toys and the obligatory sheepskin. Loving these rooms from stylist Emma Hos. Black and white beauties for the every day.

Lily & Oscar

I recently started following an Instagram account which captured my attention, which lead me to an online store, and a Facebook account....and I was soon totally smitten. lointerior is the Instagram account of interior stylist Josephine Ekström, who has the most beautiful shop in Sweden called Lily & Oscar. It has a rustic French/Swedish feel with tons of neutral colours, textures and organic shapes mixed with bits of modern designs for a bit of a contemporary edge. Josephine takes photos around her glorious shop, as well as in her home....and here are some of my favourites. (Oh, how freaking stoked I would be if a store like hers opened in Ottawa!)
