It's Tuesday, the perfect excuse for a virtual holiday. What? You don't daydream of getting away from the rat race on a Tuesday? I do. We are headed to Hôtel Sezz Saint-Tropez, a piece of Provençal paradise with a contemporary twist. Opulence and simplicity, the 35 room and villa hotel is set in three acres of luxurious grounds. Outdoor showers, private terraces and courtyards and a design by Christophe Pillet that is modern and fresh against the charm of stone walls. I'll meet by the pool for drinks, perhaps a little dinner. No rush. It's only Tuesday. We have all week.

Sticks and stones

Rising from the grass, shaded by a stand of trees is a simple beach house celebrating its surroundings and the lifestyle of surf and sand, sun and fun with family and friends. This is simple building within a short walk of the sea but in its simplicity, its pared back state is the essence of casual days, a slower time and pace. Life is a beach after all and the design team at Martín Gómez Arquitectos are no beach bums when it comes to the perfect seaside retreat. Over the next few days I will be sharing more from Martín Gómez. In the seaside town of Punta del Este, Uruguay he has been slowly designing and building a relationship with this beautiful part of the world. A relationship that embraces site and nature, the built environment and natural environment. Each home will be different but always with a common thread. Domus Civita

"I thought that I would let you know that we have just added a simply stunning new property in Italy to our collection - it opened in August 2012 ...

Here a short description: The 14th century home is located in Civita di Bagnoregio, a medieval town only accessible by a pedestrian bridge. The house itself sits on top of Etruscan caves and tombs and a beautiful Roman water cistern, all of which are accessible from inside the house and open onto a beautiful hanging garden 4 stories down and through the cliff. There is a heated pool inside one of the largest caves and a unique wine cellar for guests inside the roman water cistern. The whole setting is simply amazing - please view the images attached below."
