Another Mauricio Arruda home

Yesterday I featured a home designed by Maurício Arruda but I love his work so I could not stop at just one. Here's another I found in his portfolio. It's got a cool spiral staircase - I've always had a fascination with those. The humongous wall unit in the living room is a bit much for me (too overpowering) but I am smitten with everything else.

Pearse

Imagine living in the bustling, densely populated inner city suburbs of a cosmopolitan city. Imagine living in a home that sits on a very small piece of land. Overlooked by neighbours. Imagine living in a private oasis with walls that slide away and blur the boundaries between inside and out. Where you can literally reach out and touch the foliage, dip your toes in the pond. Imagine a secret garden in Birchgrove in Sydney. Love this home by Pearse. There is even more to love after the jump including a couple of sexy staircases and books, oh books!.

Bijou brilliant

First admired on Remodelista (still my number one go to blog) this elegant space saving loft bed solution by Jordan Parnass Digital Architecture is only surpassed by the actual project.  The loft bed image led me to this bijou studio/workspace that is not only beautiful in its simplicity but inspiring in its spatial solutions to small scale living. Brilliant. (Those ingenious stairs remind me a little of these.)
