A contemporary guesthouse in South Africa 

South Africa is on my travel bucket list, and this beautifully renovated 1950's 7 bedroom guesthouse in Stellenbosch is accommodations I could definitively see myself really enjoying. Twice Central is owned by Ané Spies, Liesl Swart and Mandi Smit and they did a wonderful job making this a comfortable, casual and contemporary getaway.

What do you get when you mix industrial with bling, Palm Springs with plantation style, all with a South African influence? A house brimming with the owner's personality by Durban-based Douglas and Douglas. Definitely glam but a casual almost effortless glam. We know better ;)

Hump day getaway

It's Wednesday, hump day, the working week half done but still the promise of the weekend is just out of reach. If we can't escape our everyday humdrum then perhaps we can take a virtual getaway to a slice of South African heaven.
