Zebra rug

My love for zebra rugs has existed for some time now, as I mentionned in a previous post. I'm talking FAUX zebra. Real zebra would be VERY WRONG. I have never owned a zebra rug but would so love to get my hands on one (or three). I love anything graphic and black/white is my favourite colour combination so zebra rugs are right up my alley. Here are spaces that...*sigh*...include a lovely zebra rug.

This photo I had to include because the rug, while not zebra, is incredible in this space.

Florence Broadhurst rugs

A different sort of WINKS this weekend. Robyn, one of our long term readers just sent this in. With 100 years of rug heritage and a highly successful flagship store in Battersea, Knots Interiors is thrilled to have the exclusive contract for Florence Broadhurst rugs launching at 100% Design, the UK's premier contemporary interiors event at Earls Court on the 20th-23rd September 2007. The rugs are hand-knotted in Nepal, using pure Tibetan wool and silk to highlight and contrast Florence Broadhurst’s fantastic designs. You'll recognise the Madam JoJo's interior from our post earlier this week. Thanks for the luscious link Robyn.

Stepevi

In Istanbul in 1919 a carpet manufacturing company called Step was created, and with it's success came Stepevi. They combine Turkish rug-making techniques with new technology to create rugs that are luxurious and contemporary. Their shag is the most beautiful shag I've ever seen.
