Is it a long weekend in the States?

If it is then it's time for a holiday reading guide! No such luck here. We're right out of public holidays until Christmas in my neck of the woods. So if you're lucky enough to have three days off sit back and enjoy. New blogs, not so new, lots of eye candy and always inspiring. Hey even if it's not a long weekend where you are there's always time for blog hopping!

I had such a wonderful day today. Up early, breakfast at our fav cafe then off to Woolloongabba (really does have that many double letters) here in Brisbane for a day of thrift shops, antique shops and those dangerously delightful designer shops that are popping up in this part of town. I spent way too much, my feet are sore but think of the calories I burned weaving up and down the streets. What's a girl to do when all of you can't come join the fun? Why send you to other fabulous places ... time for a reading guide :)

OK OK I'll fess up that I've been so busy today helping a friend with some art pieces for her new place that I had no time to sort through all the links that came in for WINKS. Perfect excuse to spread the love and introduce some of the blogs I've lurked on lately.

A little break ....

A holiday reading guide because I'm off for a week. I'd love to say that I am taking time to relax at the beach .... but I'm not. I've been on "holidays" this last week and I have one more away from work because I'm trying to put the finishing touches on some mixed media pieces for an up coming exhibition. Just a small one but I'm excited none the less. Kim will still be posting here at Desire to Inspire and she's been on such a roll lately with some stellar posts you won't even miss me I'm sure. So let's pretend we're all on holiday with plenty of time to while away on books and blogs and friends. See you soon!

Just because ...... reading guide

My idea of bliss? A cup of tea, time away from cares and responsibilities, a fast internet connection and a pile of new blogs to explore. It's not a holiday weekend. I'm not snowed in. I wanted to do a reading guide .... just because.
