Joseph De Leo

Joseph De Leo started as an art director before concentrating on his amazing talent for photography. His work is masterful. The colours and the composition are almost painterly. You are drawn into the rooms. The colours jump off the screen (or the page) and as far as his food portfolio goes you could lick the screen it is so tempting. Check out the vignettes in his portfolio for the most inspiring colour palettes. YUM!

Some lovely photos

I'm a bit late posting this. As soon as I got home from work I jumped in the car and took off to the nearest Benjamin Moore store to get some teal paint for my dressing room. We're due for 50 cm of snow this weekend so I figured if I'm stuck indoors, I could at least make myself useful and paint something. (The colour I wanted, BM's Bella Blue, doesn't exist in Canada apparently. I went with Blue Spa instead). And after all that, it turns out I had no post ready to publish, so I found some photos my sister had stashed from a site of a group of photographers. Enjoy!

Guy Mendlin

Guy Mendlin is a photographer in Tel-Aviv who has quite a diverse portfolio. When he opened his own studio in 1997, he began concentrating on still-life and fashion photography, then turned to lifestyle and portraits. He also has done some work shooting interiors, which he also excels at, with perfect lighting and crispness. Lovely!

Matthew Hranek

Matthew Hranek is a superb photographer who has shot some amazing spaces that I just adore. I am totally drawn to spaces filled with books and art, and so many of these photos are just that. Very inspiring.

Eric Piasecki

New Yorker Eric Piasecki has an absolutely stunning portfolio, full of wonderful spaces basking in natural light and filled with all sorts of incredible chairs. This could double as a "chair porn" post.
