Window seat

It's the little things. It could have been a simple window. Let in the light, some fresh air. By boxing out the opening with a wider, built-in bench and a sliding window all you need to do is just throw in some pillows and it's an inviting nook. A kitchen/dining nook makeover

Nothing says classic like a black and white kitchen - especially white uppers and black lower cabinets. Throw in a white marble countertop, gold pendants, faucets and hardware, some Tolix stools and a marble Saarinen tulip table and you have just about the best combination EVER. How to fake a bay window

This is a fantastic idea - build some bookcases on either side of a window and you end up with storage, a window seat and throw in some mirrors and trim and you have the cutest little reading nook in a 'bay window'. Via Granit.

Happy Friday!

Happy Friday dear readers! I leave you with this photo, a fine piece of decor ass if I may say. Sexy black floors, sheepskin extravaganza (my cats would lose their minds) and a SWEET brutalist light fixture. Via C Home (photo by Douglas Friedman).
