Neutral and thrifty

I had to share this home in Biarritz, France I came across on vtwonen because I think a Sunday should start off with a smile. And this home has me grinning from ear to ear. Scandinavian vibe, lots of whites and neutrals, and thrifted goodies throughout. This is all things lovely. (Photos: Julien Fernandez)

A white beach house

We have featured many beach houses here on the blog over the years, and many of them take the nautical theme a tad too far. But not this one! I absolutely adore this Florida home. With different shades of white/off-white and not a speck of blue in sight, this is elegant yet earthy and minimalist. No fuss decor with lots of natural fabrics make this so effortless and soothing. I love that aside from a couple of throw blankets there are no patterns, making this so easy on the eye. By Tennessee-based interior designer Rozanne Jackson.

It's hard to be neutral

I'm passionate about the neutral tones of this Greenwich Village apartment by Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent. Love the biscuit and the taupe, the tan and the ecru, the caramels, creams and whites. Don't get me started on the Tobia Scarpa Soriana sofa, the lighting, the marble and the brass. I'm loving the bedroom and the matching shower and dressing room. No I'm definitely not on the fence about the gorgeous home that the pair share with their daughter Poppy. Perfect.

More to love from Leanne Ford

I love this limited palette of whites and creams married with the deep warmth of the stained wooden walls. (Great inspiration for those faced with a renovation of retro examples.)  I love the luxury of a thick beni ourain rug against the raw concrete. I love the stone of the kitchen, the handthrown pottery and how the tile runs across the bathroom ceiling. I love the mid century classic pieces and the rough hewn wood. I love it all but then again I have professed my love for everything by L.A. and Pittsburgh-based interior designer Leanne Ford before.

A model apartment

A historical building with soaring windows. Light flooding in to an apartment with exposed brick, reclaimed oak floors and marble. What a wonderful canvas to work with. 60 White Street, a model (display) apartment in New York's TriBeCa area by interior designer Magdalena Keck.
