Riad Mena & Beyond

Hump day? What hump day? No we're all on a virtual getaway to Marrakech, to Riad Mena & Beyond. Just when I though my love affair with all things Moroccan might be waning I'm smitten by this traditional riad with it's minimalist interiors and iconic 20th century furniture pieces thrown into the mix.  The "beyond" bit? A fully-functioning permaculture farm where you can spend the day in wonderful nature, enjoy a seasonal picnic, or even spend some nights in the rustically charming houses. I'll be back at the main house waiting by the pool.

Sunday inspiration

I was poking around Marie Claire Maison yesterday and came across a few homes that really captured my attention so I thought I would share a couple of them. This Marrakech home has gorgeous features that are typical of Moroccan architecture but the owners have spiced things up with some mid-century modern furnishings. A quirky combination, and I love it.
