A dreamy bathroom

Sweet jeezus this bathroom is an absolute DREAM! Via Minosa. The clients were searching for a fresh contemporary space that better utilised their small bathing space. The client wanted the bathroom to be connected to the dressing room which was located next to the ensuite and the bedroom there after. They wanted a good use of artificial light as the bathroom had NO window. The client did not like grout as was searching for a seamless product to apply to all walls and the shower floor. The designers choose to remove the wall between the dressing room and the ensuite and in its place installing the Rimidesio sliding (oversized) door system, and an engineered Oak floor. The two main focal points are the stunning Antonio Lupi freestanding bath and the floating wall hung Vanity unit with the very impressive Gessi Goccia tapware and oversized basins. The faucets and tub filler are so gorgeous!!!

Diego Alejandro Design

If modern interiors with doses of bold colours is your thing, then I think you'll really enjoy these designs by New York architect and interior designer Diego Rincon. I love how the dark wall colours anchors all the jewel tones Diego uses as accents, adding to the drama factor. Sleek and classy.

It was originally part of the St. Micheles’ convent built in the XVII century, and the juxtaposition of the rustic architecture with modern furnishings makes this a pretty funky hotel IMHO.

A complete redo in Montréal

Montréal architecture firm _naturehumaine turned a boring 1950 concrete home in Notre Dame de Grâce into a spectacular contemporary work of art and I am totally smitten with the outcome. Not only is the exterior a beauty, the interior has something intriguing around every corner. There really is nothing better than black window frames, and I am amazed how they mixed several types and shades of wood in one home yet it still looks so cohesive. I am saving every photo in my inspiration folder.

Dark shadows bright light

Hiding silently in the shadows of moss covered trees, dark walls blend seamlessly with old growth. Enter the door and all changes. Wide walls of windows capture the light throwing black and white interiors into stark relief. Wooden accents warm and burnish. Retro meets modern. Light versus dark. Sharp angles against the softening canopy of mature trees. The Arboretum Residence remodel by Portland, Oregon based Skylab Architects.
