Weekend SCORE!!!!!!!

So forget about my post the other day about the Eames shell side chair that I found that I was going to make my office chair. That will now be an office visitors chair. Because I scored this a couple hours ago, for $160:

What's kind of funny is the guy I bought the yellow chair from was supposed to email me a photo of a kelly green shell chair he had that I told him I was interested in (he never did). I'm glad he didn't because this one is WAY better!!! (And ignore the background of the photo - my office needs ALOT of work).

I am no longer an Eames virgin

Because I am a chair whore, I decided to buy myself an Eames shell chair in a FABULOUS lemon yellow the other night on eBay. I picked it up after work this afternoon. It is so damn cute, and will be perfect in my home office...that I have yet to decorate.

And while I'm here, I've been having problems accessing my hotmail the last couple of days so my apologies if I don't reply in a timely fashion.

I was checking my emails this morning while enjoying a cup of coffee and read one from a couple who are from Ottawa currently living in Seattle. That had me intrigued, and when I went to check out their Etsy store, it was so cute I decided not to wait for a WINKS post for this one. Casey and Cheryl's store is called TinyModernist, and they sell mid century style baby/kids clothing and accessories and do-it-yourself cross-stitch patterns for famous mid century chairs. The patterns are SO ADORABLE! This store is a must-see, and it's making me glad my twin sister is pregnant again so I can pick up a couple things.

Surfing Cowboys

Surfing Cowboys is a store in Venice, California that specializes in mid century furnishings, rare cultural icons and even vintage surfboards. They have so many fantastic items listed on their site, I just had to post some of my favourites.
