Barn House in the Land of the Long White Cloud

I've asked myself many times if there is a land more beautiful than my own Australia? And each time I have to admit that New Zealand is just a little more stunning. Just. Chalet Grelottiere Verbier

Switzerland-based interior designer Marianne Tiegen always blows me away with her interior design projects that take rustic to a whole other level. This chalet was given a dose of classy understated elegance and comfort with the plush furnishings and wonderfully cozy fabrics to cuddle on or under during cool nights. So gorgeous. (And in case you missed it, this is my absolute favourite project of hers).

Moody Scandinavian

White walls seem to be getting a bad rap this days. All those insipid white walls. There is nothing washed-out about this Swedish apartment though. A love letter

Dear Simpson Jacoby Architecture,

I just wanted to pen a short note to let you know how much I love your work on this old house. Sympathetic, stylish, simple and soft. Love the colour palette, the whitewashed floors, the kitchen and the restored, sinuous stairs rising to that dark and moody studio office. Love how your client has filled it gently and thoughtfully with their possessions and how you knew it would be just so. Love it all.

Regards,

Jo

Chez Marie-Sixtine

Located at 5 rue de Charonne in Paris is fashion brand Marie-Sixtine's flagship boutique, creative workshop, showroom, and above it all, their highly-exclusive chic hideaway called Chez Marie-Sixtine. One of the most beautiful apartments I have ever seen in pastels and greys, so soothing and inviting. Except I don't think I could ever leave that bedroom. EVER. Interior design: Sandrine Place Architect: Baptiste Legué Photos: Julie Ansiau
