A colour palette of black, white and grey. Slick, hard surfaces. Think concrete and metal warmed sparingly with wood. Too stark? Too cold? Or just right for your minimalist style? French expat Peggy Bels is bringing Parisian chic style to Hong Kong with her classy, contemporary interiors. She creates drama and a modern edge with neutral shades of black, white and grey and often with a flat finish (love!). Simple spaces yet super chic.

Hammam haven
"Amara Wellness Centre is unique in Australia for its wellness-based, organic and authentic Hammam bathing facilities and rituals. Directly inspired by the traditional Turkish bath house, the evocative series of consultation, therapy and steam rooms are linked by a series of black oak corridors connecting circular marble-clad chambers. The Hamman ritual spaces feature meticulously crafted domed and vaulted ceilings with custom made copper bathing vessels ensuing that every aspect of the ritual experience is imbued with design."
My apologies for taking that directly from the interior designers' site. The mere thought of indulging in the pleasure of such a centre has me relaxed, chilled out, sloth-like with pure pleasure that I couldn't find my own words. Design by Melbourne based CoLAB, a collaboration between Anna Drummond and Trish Turner.

The lightest of grey
A soft, muted beauty, cozy like a favourite old sweater, stylishly simple and simply stylish. If I loved Paul Massey's Cornwall home then it's obvious that I'm head over heels for his Primrose Hill, London flat. An amazing photographer with a wonderful eye who could easily put down the camera and take up design.
