A kitchen by Black Lacquer Design

This stunning kitchen has totally made my day. I am often faced with frustration when my husband and I cannot pass each other in our kitchen without knocking something over/stepping on toes and this kitchen is soooo roomy. The mint green cabinet colour is adorable, and paired with that gorgeous encaustic tile floor, brass accents, double doors streaming in light, an office and bar area (what I would use it for anyway)....it has EVERYTHING. By Black Lacquer Design. (Check out a previous feature here).

Trend-less

Interior designer Dirk Jan Kinet does notfill his spaces with Ikea, does not karate chop his pillows, does not douse everything in white nor does he place a fiddle leaf fig in every bright corner. What he does do is the unexpected. In every corner. Literally - check out the dining room photo. This Madrid home is trend-less and I love it for its randomness. Via Nuevo Estilo

A traditional green, marble and brass kitchen

I found this deVOL kitchen the other day on JJ Locations and I was completely shocked to discover how much I really REALLY love it. It could be because living in a traditional home for a couple of years now is rubbing off on me, or the fact that my kitchen can barely fit 2 people standing in it so anything roomy makes me envious. This kitchen is situated in a 1846 Victorian in London, and while I would consider changing a couple of things (that sofa in the corner isn't working - I love the idea of a settee just not that one, the table is missing a bench and I would paint out the inside of that hutch black and fill it with white dishes), this is the best take on a traditional kitchen I think I have ever seen. I don't even really like green and I love this. Crazy!

Glen Iris House

This post is for the folks who have commented lately that we've been too many posting been-there-done-that, white houses lately. This house has accents of turquoise/mint green in almost every room and I absolutely love it. Fresh and fun and paired with some red and black it is HOT. Thank you Nest Architects for showing us how to do colour.
