João Botelho, interior and furniture designer at Casa Botelho based in London, is drawn to masculine glamour, symmetry and to-die-for statement lighting. Even if it means bashing your head frequently on the massive light fixture hanging low over the bed. This is João's glorious four-storey East London townhouse (including a couple of iterations of his living room).
This pad in Los Angeles designed by Barbie Palomino is a pinch of modern, a dash of minimal, a smidge of glam and a tad feminine. Whatever you want to call it I think it's sexy, and I'm crushing on that chandelier in the dining space.
Glam + gothic + industrial + loft = this amazing space in Los Angeles by BAM Design Lab (Barbie Palomino & Annie May). This loft is super sexy and grungy with some of the coolest wallpapers I have ever seen. I could totally live here as my city pad and then have a house in the country for all my lighter and brighter decor. Anyone else on the fence about all-over-tufted sofas? I love/hate/love/hate. But here it works so damn well.
I just want to be here. Oh I also want to be glamorous and rich and as young as I was in the 80s. You may think it is a decade that taste forgot and how on earth would we want it back but then along comes a room that has its design zeitgeist so firmly in that era and it's love at first sight. My obsession for London-based interior designer Hubert Zandberg's work continues with the complete redesign of this office space in Marylebone, London into a 2-story apartment. Classy, Hollywood Regency-esque with elegant and sophisticated details that have me swooning.
