A complete renovation of a tiny Parisian apartment

Paris-based interior designer Adrien Pillay sent over some photos of one of his projects - the renovation (and decoration) of a tiny late 1800's 365 sq ft apartment, and the transformation is incredible! (Photos: Anaëlle Le Roy). I love when we are sent before photos, and in this case it really showcases the amount of work involved in this project.

EEEEKKKK! But look at it now!! Simple, beautiful details and some great space-saving solutions.

A to-die-for home in Paris

I mentioned in my last post that my favourite interiors are those that cannot be replicated, that are edgy and eclectic and have a retro vibe. Add in some bold, mostly dark wall colours and I am on cloud 9. If the space is in Paris with gorgeous original architectural details then you it can't really be beat. Which is why I had to share this home in Paris I found on Elle Decoration Sweden. It has EVERYTHING. Photos: Gaelle le Boulicaut

double g

I have had an undying design crush on Parisian architecture and interior design firm double g for too many years now. Yes it helps if you start with a building with great bones but no-one fleshes out those bones better than this French duo. This 200sqm apartment in Saint-Georges is just sublime.

A rural home with a retro vibe in the south of France

I spotted the south of France home of New York designer Annie Moore at Nuevo Estilo and instantly fell completely in love. I could barely get past the first photo above because having a little potting shed is something I desperately want and this space is absolutely gorgeous. Then when I was finally able to move along, the beautiful architectural details with some rustic elements and an eclectic blend of classic furnishings with a nod towards retro (gawd how I love white marble Saarinen dining tables) did me in. (If you're wondering why furniture changes slightly in some photos from others, I found some of these @ Marie Claire Maison)

A French apartment?

There is a certain French flair to this apartment, that look you know straight away, an easy sophistication ... except it's not in some chic Paris arrondissement but in Warsaw. So stylish, so elegant, so ... well ... Paris meets Poland. By Warsaw-based design firm Colombe.
