Copper exposed - a second try

Another post from last week where photos were not displaying correctly...

I mentioned back in this post that I loved exposed copper piping. Coincidentally, I came across an apartment in Amsterdam designed by Ijzersterk Interieurontwerp where exposed copper pipes snake through the living room, hallway and bedroom. To play off this theme, the designers included a copper coloured wall covering and chairs in the dining room and a matching butterscotch leather sofa and stool in the living room (among other things). I love me some exposed pipe...and some copper! (Photos by Figure of Speech)

Copper

I just wanted to quickly thank Sandra, the 3 Jessica's, Barbara, Erin, and Morag for the donations sent yesterday for Agnes' vet bills. Much appreciated. And as much as I hate to ask again, if anyone is able to spare a few bucks to help get little Agnes up to snuff so she can live the rest of her life healthy and in a loving home, details are in yesterday's post. I swear I won't ask again - my last desperate plea.

I love anything copper, so this bathroom with exposed copper piping is going into my inspiration folder. LOVE IT!!! Via Karhard Architektur.

Karaköy Rooms

Situated in a 100 year old building in Istanbul is the boutique hotel, Karaköy Rooms. The elegant renovation by Turkish design firm RunArchitecture is a modern take on a once grand past. White walls, often with dark grey ceilings, are balanced by wooden floors. Where original mouldings are missing they are simply replaced or referenced with paint. Perhaps the standout feature of each room is the exposed copper piping that carries the electrical supply. Simply modern and historically fabulous.

Happy Friday!

I shared my love for Tom Dixon's copper shade pendant in a post recently, and had to share this photograph. :-)
