Real estate stalking for a cause
Some of you may know that I no longer work as an interior designer but now work for a homeless health team. During the day our team provides outreach mental health assessment and treatment to the homeless within the inner city of Brisbane, Australia. At night I blog about beautiful houses. Quite a dichotomy. More than 100,000 men, women and children are homeless in Australia on any given night. Half of these are younger than 25. Today I heard that my usual real estate stalking website realestate.com.au has partnered with Mission Australia for the month of May to House the Homeless, a campaign to raise both funds and awareness of the plight of homeless people in Australia, and more specifically, Sydney. For each person who clicks on housesforthehomeless.com.au, realestate.com.au will donate $1 to Mission Australia, up to a total of $100,000. 100% of every dollar raised will go directly towards helping house the homeless so please make a difference and visit now. Click over and perhaps allay a little of the guilt that comes from dreaming of gorgeous and expensive rooms. Some people just dream of a safe place to sleep.
