Industrial luxury

Two floors of sophisticated, urban living with a limited colour palette dictated by the industrial materials used throughout. Concrete, steel and glass warmed by rich, dark wood and leather. Unexpected touches of gold, mirror and antique pieces give a luxurious, almost deco feel to this industrial inner city home. South Yarra Apartment by Melbourne-based design studio Workroom.

Little Black Shack

Yesterday I stalked a multi-million dollar house on Sydney's Pittwater, all black and glass and steel. It was fabulous no doubt but I'll let you into a secret. Stalking black and white on the water

I'm stalking the epitome of style and relaxed sophistication on the the shores of Sydney's Pittwater in the suburb of Bayview. Black and white with accents of warm woods and the glint of metallics. Effortless transition between the beautiful interiors and the lush landscaped garden. Then there are the views and the fact that you have only to cross the road to feel the sand between your toes. Want. Seriously, seriously want. Link here while it lasts.

Stalking in Sydney 2

My second apartment today is just a suburb or two away in Waterloo. Co-incidentally (or not) it is also by SJB Architects. A smaller, more intimate space over two levels with a moody palette and beautiful stone floors. The fact that it is a short stroll to the fabulous dining and shopping of the Danks Street precinct makes it even more appealing. Link here while it lasts.
