You know what I say. If you have to drag yourself into work on a weekend then it helps if it's somewhere stylish. Love the juxtaposition of private and public areas in these offices in Buenos Aires by Estudio Carranza Arquitectura and Galvez Autunno. Mirrored box meeting room anyone? Cool.
Buenos Aires based architect Maria Eugenia Carranza of Estudio Carranza emailed us about a couple of her latest projects. This kitchen and bathroom renovation was my favourite. Any kitchen with a black floor and white subway tile with dark grout is going to win me over. Throw in a bathroom with beautiful, bold floral wallpaper and I am left shouting YES! YES! YES! followed by a fist pump.
I'm still in virtual holiday mode. Still got my virtual bags packed, my virtual passport in hand and I'm ready for my next daydream stopover. After indulging in the jet-set luxury of Greece I'm settling into an intimate guesthouse in the historic district of Alberdi, in the city Córdoba in central Argentina. Like a second skin or a favourite old sweater, it's about casual family living without pretension but bags of easy going style. Effortless and comfortable doesn't mean complicated design. It's slipped covered sofas and slouchy pillows, crisp white walls and streamlined kitchens, luxurious bathrooms that are as simple to clean as they are good looking. Just like this apartment in Palermo, Buenos Aires by Argentinian design firm Anthony Sibbald.
Maria and Santiago are architects from Buenos Aires, Argentina who wanted to share their apartment with our readers. Judging by the stacks of speakers they are clearly music (or maybe movie) buffs, and they appreciate classic mid-century furniture. Some large, graphic artwork (ie. Warhol) could really step this up a notch.
