Sheldon Keith Trimble

With muted palettes and strong, masculine, tailored design, San Francisco based Sheldon Keith Trimble creates spaces that are luxurious and elegant but livable and with a great sense of continuity of design. Modern, at times moody the attention to detail and the clean lines are key to his work.

Alison Spear

It's the art in architecture that appeals to Alison Spear. Born in Miami and with offices there and in New York her work is not torn between the two but rather a wonderful melding of Miami spice and N.Y. cool. Don't miss the movie on her website as she leads you through some of her spaces and explains her design process.

Matt Gibson

It's all about space and light. Sounds simple doesn't it? To Melbourne based design firm Matt Gibson it is. Their design solutions are based on light, material and patterns of movement. With much of their work based on house extensions it's the "threshold and junction and the rigorous exploration of the zones between what has come before and what is new..." that form the core of this work.

Guard Tillman Pollock

Architects Guard Tillman Pollock specialise in elegant, functional and modernist design. As their website says, "Drawing inspiration from the work of the early Modern Movement, the practice believes that good design should do more than merely resolve the brief; it should inspire and enhance the spirit." Take the time to view their extensive portfolio and marvel at their clean, crisp design solutions. I love the bed that slides on floor rails for those times when you just have to sleep under the stars. (P.S. Great barn conversion too.)
