Stalking a concept

I'm in Amsterdam stalking a development site. A raw shell, gutted, rough and ready with jackhammered walls and neon surveyor's marks ... and I love it. I've included the computer generated renderings of the proposed apartment but is it wrong of me to love the romance of the raw and turn my back on the slick and chic of the new? (OK, OK I'd like a better mattress and perhaps a bathroom and kitchen but don't dismiss my daydream out of hand.) You can see more here. Via DSTRCT.

Stalking masculine and minimal in the city

I'm stalking masculine, minimal and a Murphy bed in inner-city Sydney. Thankfully the fold-up bed is only in the guest room. A two bedroom apartment in an Art Deco warehouse building with bespoke joinery and high-spec finishes all within easy walking distance of the centre of one of the world's most vibrant cities? Just might be my definition of the perfect bachelor pad. Link here while it lasts.

A colourful Sydney holiday apartment

If you look closely this Tamarama Beach apartment is actually light, bright and very white but it's the colourful pops of artwork and accessories that amp up that holiday feel. Oh and let's not forget the view. Nothing says Aussie beach getaway more than an endless ocean view and a scurry across hot asphalt to get to the sand on a summer's day. If you want to make today's daydream a reality you can find out more at Contemporary Hotels.

A pretty apartment by Marta Castellano

Lots of white, grey and soft, billowy curtains in this really pretty, feminine apartment designed by Barcelona-based interior designer Marta Castellano. How cute is the art on the dining room buffet?!

A charming bachelor apartment in Russia

I was poking around The Village the other day hoping to find a little gem of an apartment to share here and sure enough, look what I found! This bachelor apartment is 43.5 m2, is owned by a florist and and a photographer, and is really quite charming. I'm featuring it because I fell in love with the simple kitchen and dining area. A beautiful combination of pink, black, green, and white with a touch of crystal sparkle really has me falling in love with this place. I'd love to Airbnb this.
