Jo and Kim together at last!

Here we are together at last ...... and this is where we’ll be from October 1 for the week. Yes we’re guest blogging on design*sponge! How exciting!!!! But don’t worry we’re gluttons for punishment. We’ll still be posting here for the week so it’ll be a double dose of desire to inspire. ( As Kim and I have never met I thought I’d draw us together. It’ll be a while before we can get together for a photograph!)

P.S. Kim's the one with the short hair.

Whitney Stewart

Washington DC interior designer Whitney Stewart has a sparse website but what is featured there and in the articles linked to it are beautiful rooms, serene and elegant. Her work blends clients' needs and preferences with her eye and instinct, honed over 30 years. "Period and modern. This or that texture. Dark or light colors."

Domaine des Andéols

I started the week with a holiday destination and I think after such a busy week here on the blog we should head off to a new relaxation spot. This time we're booking in to Domaine des Andéols. This village of chic guest houses in the heart of Provence. The nine houses of the Domaine des Andéols are all different, all exquisite. This format doesn't do the hotel-villa complex justice. Feast your eyes and imagination by checking out the website.

Bedroom to die for

So I have just come across what is now one of my favourite bedrooms EVER. Erin Loechner of design for mankind left a link to pics of her bedroom on one of my recent posts and I was blown away. Black and white done to perfection. And then she had to go and stick her totally adorable dog in one of the photos. So of course I had to post it. Amazingly enough, she was debating whether to post photos of her home. (???!!!) Erin, if your bedroom looks this good PUHLEEEEEASE post photos of the rest of your home!!!

Flying Duck

Craig of Flying Duck, based in Manchester, wrote to tell us about their wonderful creations of batik wall art, cushions and handbags. The patterns and colours are so vibrant and fun, with an organic feel. Very cool. Thanks for writing Craig!
